Two-Speed Epilator Removes Short Hair
The Satinelle Soft Epilator is a total body hair removal system that's easy to use, even for those new to epilation. It epilates sensitive body areas like knees and ankles, underarms, and the bikini line. The hair lift and massage attachment removes even flat-lying hairs and stimulates the skin as you epilate, while the exfoliation glove helps prevent ingrown hairs in between epilation sessions.
Easy Operation and Cleanup
A simple selector button lets you choose between two speeds (gentle and efficient) to suit your hair removal needs, and the fully removable, washable head makes cleanup a breeze.
Removes Hair for Weeks and Cares for Your Skin
Unlike other hair removal methods that can be harsh on sensitive skin, the Satinelle pampers your skin. The hair lift and massage attachment gently lifts and removes even the shortest hairs for extra-close epilation while relaxing the skin. The result is soft, smooth skin without the irritation, nicks, or cuts that waxes, chemicals, and razors can leave behind.
Exfoliation Glove
The Satinelle Soft Epilator includes accessories to care for your skin. Use the exfoliation glove to gently massage your skin and remove dead skin cells in between epilation sessions.

Philips HP6512/50 Satinelle Soft Epilator, White/Purple Reviews

Customer Video Review Length:: 7:14 MinsThis is a nice little epilator for when you're tired of frequent shaving (with nicks and everything else) and the sticky mess of waxing. Yes, the epilator is painful (I think that's to be expected; it's not magic!), but not as painful as waxing, and becomes less painful over time (similar to how plucking your eyebrows stops hurting after awhile). Uses an AC adapter instead of batteries, and is easy to clean. Two speed settings, with the low setting meant for bony areas like ankles and knees. This epilator can be used on the legs, bikini area and armpits, but is not to be used on the face. I personally don't recommend it to be used on the armpit or bikini area because of the risk of ingrown hairs, but give it a try and if you don't have a problem with that, or don't mind, then go ahead. The legs tend to stay ingrown hair free for most people so it's not a problem. My recommendation is to take two aspirin prior to your bath or shower,... However, the braun epilator did not work as well as my old norelco, so I returned it and got the satinelle. I am glad I did as the satinelle works so much better at removing hairs than the braun. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful SMOOTH & SILKY ONCE AGAIN!, By jj8429 "Jill" (duluth, minnesota) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Philips HP6512/50 Satinelle Soft Epilator, White/Purple (Health and Beauty) I had an older model Philips Satinelle for around five years... It worked just fine until our 1 yr old Golden Retriever destroyed it! This unquestionably required a replacement and of course, I went with a Satinelle. I've owned a couple of different brands, Braun & Emjoi, and they just didn't remove unwanted hair very efficiently. It took forever to do my legs and frustratedly, I ended up waxing or shaving. (Yes, even waxing was a quicker option!) I don't remember how I ended up ordering the Satinelle, but I've never regretted it. I think I have medium hair/texture on my legs, I'm not dark and super hairy, but I do use the Satinelle for my bikini line, and again, far superior to waxing!!!Since I have been a 10+ year epilator, I have a few suggestions for pain relief.... 1. First of all, the longer you use your epilator, the less it will hurt. I think your roots just get weaker and weaker...?? 2. I've never tried the Ibuprofen/Aspirin route, but... Read more |

I have been searching the market for an epilator for some time. Shaving was not working out so smoothly (excuse the pun) for me, and I wanted longer-lasting results, and the look of hairlessness under the surface of the skin. When I finally decided to go with an epilator, I picked up the Philips Satinelle Smooth at Wal-Mart for around $45.00. I wasn't sure what I could expect, but I will tell you I was pleasantly surprised. It plucked out all of my hair, it was quick, it was painful in the beginning, but within a minute or two my skin became numb and used to the pain. The epilator was less painful than waxing, with very similar results. My skin was red and a bit sore afterwards (like waxing), but applying a relief ointment post-epilation does the trick. If you can get through the initial pain of the first few hairs, it is definitely worth it. I look forward to seeing thinner and slower hair regrowth while maintaining hairless skin. I can't stress enough how happy I was with the speed of the whole process, and the fact that I didn't pay too much, and I could find this at my local Wal-Mart.
